Nigeria’s commercial hub, Lagos, will host some of Africa’s finest fighters as the African Knockout (AKO) 12 takes centre stage at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos Island, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
The nine-bout, all-night event promises fireworks, with records and reputations on the line. In the co-main bout, Nigeria’s Yahaya Yahuza faces Algeria’s Fouad Madani in a middleweight clash, while the headline fight sees Senegal’s Gasmire Diatta defend his interim featherweight title against Algeria’s Farouk Boudissa.

For Lagos-born Yahuza, his flawless record of seven wins from seven fights will be tested against Madani, who boasts six victories and one draw from seven contests. Meanwhile, Diatta—holder of the most knockouts in AKO history with five finishes—puts his interim belt on the line against the dangerous Boudissa.

Other explosive matchups include: Clelio Diogo (Angola) vs. Prince Mensan (Côte d’Ivoire) in the bantamweight division, with Diogo seeking to cement his place among Africa’s elite.
Richard Muzaan (Nigeria) vs. Moise Bah (Côte d’Ivoire) in the light-heavyweight division, as Muzaan looks to extend his unbeaten run.

Fred Kudzete (Togo) vs. Tunlunda Daniel (Angola) in the featherweight division, and the only women’s bout will see Nelson Ufot (Nigeria) vs. Marie Mengue (Cameroon) in the flyweight category.

Joel Tessa (Cameroon) vs. Memon Kone (Côte d’Ivoire) in the middleweight; Oussama Idrissi (Morocco) vs. Pelejah Osoba (Nigeria) in the lightweight.

A heavyweight showdown between Nigerian brothers Abdullhai Abdulrahim and Kabiru Adediran, battling for the belt.

Adding star power to the night, AKO President and UFC legend Kamaru Usman will be the special guest, ensuring the event delivers top-tier entertainment as fighters aim to showcase their very best.
