Team Brazil clinched their first victory in the E1 Lagos Grand Prix on Sunday, October 5, with powerboat pilots Timmy Hansen and Leva Millere-Hagin steering the team to success through the group stages, race-off, and showdown.

Their win earned them 38 points, raising their overall tally to 89 and securing the top spot ahead of Team Blue Rising, who finished second, and Team Drogba, who came in third. Championship favorites Team Rafa and Team Brady, consistent podium contenders, missed out this time.

The E1 Lagos GP is a pioneering all-electric powerboat race that merges cutting-edge technology, environmental sustainability, and thrilling water-based competition. The event drew international teams and spectators, showcasing high-performance electric boats in action.

Lagos State made history as the first African city to host the prestigious E1 Racing Championship, held on October 4 and 5 along the scenic waterfront of Victoria Island.

Speaking during the final race, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu hailed the event as a milestone in innovation and progress. “Hosting the E1 Grand Prix is not just about sport. It is about innovation, environmental responsibility, and putting Lagos on the global map for future-focused development,” he said.

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the championship reflects Lagos’ creativity, resilience, and dedication to clean energy and sustainable solutions.
