Registrations are pouring in with just two weeks left before the second leg of CHAMPS Season 3, the MTN CHAMPS Continental Relays, which will take place simultaneously at the Yabatech Sports Complex and UNILAG Sports Complex in Lagos from April 9 to 12.
As of Monday, March 24, a total of 2,821 entries have been received from 1,111 athletes, with more expected before the registration deadline on Wednesday, April 2.
The registered athletes include 174 cadets, 388 youth, 270 juniors, and 279 seniors.
The first leg of Season 3, held in Benin, saw 4,371 event entries from 2,056 athletes, and the numbers for Lagos are expected to surpass those registrations.
For athletes in the Cadet, Youth, and Junior categories, a parent or legal guardian must sign the Parental Consent Form and bring it along for bib collection.
All registered schools and athletes must pick up their competition bibs by Tuesday, April 8, at the competition venue to confirm their participation.
Additionally, Cadet (U-14), Youth (U-17), and Junior (U-20) athletes must bring a photocopy of a valid identification showing their date of birth, such as a birth certificate, international passport, or school records.
