Following the decision of the management of Nottingham Forest to activate a one-year extension in Ola Aina’s contract, the Super Eagles star is excited about this development.

Nottingham announced its decision to extend the Nigerian stay  after the27-year-old enjoyed a positive first season on Trentside after joining the club on a free transfer last summer.

The versatile full-back made 22 appearances for Forest this season, establishing himself as popular amongst supporters for his all-action displays on either side.

Aina scored his first goal for the club in a 2-0 home win over Aston Villa, while also reaching the final of the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria and being named in the Team of the Tournament.

Ola Aina said, “I’ve been really happy with my time spent here at Forest, and the fans have been great.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”
