Less than one month to the 2024 FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, the world basketball ruling body, FIBA is expecting the final list of Nigeria’s female national team D’Tigress for the tournament taking place in Belgium from February 8 to 11.
Already, Nigeria, who are the African champions have been drawn alongside United States, Senegal, and host Belgium and the championship is around the corner and with that, national federations from competing nations have begun to announce player rosters.
Nigeria is aiming for another appearance at the Olympic Games after featuring at Tokyo 2020 in Japan and the team is one of the 10 teams that are yet to name its squad for the tournament while the countries are still to decide on the players that will be stepping out onto the basketball court for the 2024 FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments.
Final rosters will be confirmed following the Technical Meeting, which is set to take place before the start of the competition.
